Current Research
Development of software platform for high reliable embedded real-time systems
In the recent years, scale and complexity of embedded real-time systems have been rapidly growing. Thus it is required to develop embedded real-time systems at a lower cost and a shorter time to market. A software platform, such as a real-time operating system, is useful for embedded real-time software development. Moreover, a software platform which offers some protection functionalities have been proposed for safety-critical system. Protection functionalities isolate software applications to prevent fault propagation between different software applications. We have studied protection functionalities with a focus on memory protection and timing protection. Furthermore, we have studied schedulability analysis of real-time systems, which also include real-time systems with our software platform.
Our research interests include, but are not limited to, the following:
- - Software platforms for automotive control systems (development and evaluation memory protection and timing protection functionalities in a real-time operating system based on AUTOSAR specifications)
- - Schedulability analysis algorithms for operating systems with timing protection
Career
- Takuya Ishikawa received his Ph.D. degree in information science from Nagoya University in 2013. In 2014, he joined the Center for Embedded Computing Systems, Nagoya University, as a researcher, where he is now a designated assistant professor since 2015.
