Current Research

Parallel and Distributed Systems
Computer systems have increasingly become intelligent, interacting with humans and physical environments in real-time, as part of the societal infrastructure. This evolution of computer systems inevitably raised paradigm shifts toward complex parallel and distributed computing as a means of processing a very large amount of data. The primary goal of our research is to establish the principles and mechanisms of parallel and distributed systems for the emerging cyber-physical infrastructure. Of particular interest includes the following research projects:
  • Scalable Parallel Algorithms
  • Hierarchical Parallelization
  • Embedded Multi-Core
  • GPU Computing
  • Cloud Computing
  • Operating Systems
  • Real-Time Systems
  • Traffic Simulations
  • Autonomous Driving
  • Plasma and Fusion Control
